Product Specific Information
Reactivity was confirmed via Western Blot analysis on samples containing added purified luciferase protein (mouse heart, liver, kidney, and cortex tissues).
No cross-reactivity was observed with mouse heart, NIH3T3, Jurkat, and human fibroblasts.
In IHC (frozen tissue) and immunofluorescence applications, this antibody detects tissue-specific expression of Luciferase protein in Drosophila embryos using the Gal4-UAS system with two different Gal4 drivers.
Target Information
Luciferase produces green light with a wavelength of 562 nm and catalyzes the reaction:
D-firefly luciferin + O₂ + ATP → firefly oxyluciferin + CO₂ + AMP + diphosphate + light
