P504S/AMACR/a-Methylacyl-CoA Racemase는 가지사슬 지방산의 β-산화에 필수적인 효소입니다. P504S 단백질은 전립선 선암종에서 높은 발현을 보이며, 정상 전립선 조직에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 또한 고등급 전립선 상피내종양(PIN) 및 비정형 선종성 과형성 등 전립선의 전암성 병변에서도 발현이 확인됩니다.
