Target Information
The MAP7 gene encodes a microtubule-associated protein predominantly expressed in epithelial cells. These proteins are involved in microtubule dynamics, crucial for cell polarization and differentiation. MAP7 stabilizes microtubules and modulates their functions. Studies in mouse suggest its role in spermatogenesis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
