Target Information
MPT63는 Mycobacterium tuberculosis에서 분비되는 주요 면역원성 단백질로, 병원성에 관련되어 있으며 결핵균에 특이적입니다.
BLAST 분석 결과, MPT63는 다른 마이코박테리아에서만 상동체가 확인되어 마이코박테리아 특이 단백질임이 밝혀졌습니다.
이 단백질은 항결핵 약물 개발의 유망한 표적으로 평가됩니다.
TB Structural Genomics Consortium에서는 MPT63의 X-선 결정 구조를 1.5 Å 해상도로 규명하였으며, antiparallel β-sandwich immunoglobulin-like fold 구조를 가집니다.
이 구조는 인간 β2-adaptin, 소 arrestin, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis invasin 등과 약한 구조적 유사성을 보입니다.
