This antibody has been tested in direct-ELISA.
Target Information
Receptor for the attractant L-aspartate and related amino and dicarboxylic acids. Tar also mediates taxis to the attractant maltose via interaction with the periplasmic maltose-binding protein. Tar mediates taxis away from repellents such as cobalt and nickel. Chemotactic signal transducers respond to changes in attractant or repellent concentrations, transduce signals across the cell membrane, and facilitate sensory adaptation through methylation level variations. Attractants increase methylation, while repellents decrease it. Methyl groups are added by methyltransferase CheR and removed by methylesterase CheB.
