This antibody detects an epitope at aa 410–419.
Staining of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections requires boiling the sections in 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10–20 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Recommended positive controls include Raji cells and human breast carcinoma.
Target Information
The c-Myc protein is a 62 kDa transcription factor encoded by the c-Myc gene on human chromosome 8q24. It is frequently activated in tumor cells and plays an essential role in cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and cell cycle progression.
