This antibody detects endogenous levels of total ITGA1.
Target Information
Integrin alpha 1 (ITGA1) associates with the beta 1 (ITGB1) chain to form a heterodimer that functions as a dual laminin/collagen receptor in neural and hematopoietic cells. ITGA1 contains a 206-amino acid I domain, three divalent cation-binding sites, a transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail. It has 28 potential N-glycosylation sites and is expressed as a 180-kDa protein in human cells. ITGA1 is involved in osteoarthritic cartilage remodeling and plays a key role in mesenchymal stem cell proliferation and cartilage production.
