Target Information
ITGB8 (Integrin beta 8) is a member of the integrin beta chain family and is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing a VWFA domain and four cysteine-rich repeats. It forms a noncovalent heterodimer with an alpha subunit to mediate cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix interactions. This complex is involved in human airway epithelial proliferation. Several alternatively spliced variants exist, though not all have been fully characterized.
