Target Information
PIM2는 BAD 단백질을 인산화하여 그 항세포자멸 기능을 부분적으로 억제하는 원암유전자(proto-oncogene)입니다. PIM 단백질군(PIM-1, PIM-2, PIM-3)은 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로서 유사한 종양유발 기능을 가지며, PIM-2는 혈액 생성 조직, 비장, 흉선, 말초혈액 백혈구, 고환, 소장, 대장에서 풍부하게 발현됩니다. 성장 인자 결핍 시 PIM-2 발현은 음성 조절되며, 일부 암에서 발현 증가가 관찰됩니다.
