Target Information
Corticotropin Releasing Factor (CRF) is a 41-amino-acid neuropeptide belonging to a family of structurally related peptides including urocortin, sauvagine, and urotensin I. CRF plays a crucial role in regulating the pituitary-adrenal gland axis and mediating endocrine, autonomic, and behavioral responses to stress. It is widely distributed in the brain and peripheral nervous system, with the highest concentrations found in the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus.
