• For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

HSP60 (HSPD1) encodes a mitochondrial chaperonin essential for folding and assembly of newly imported proteins. It may also act as a signaling molecule in the innate immune system. The gene region functions as a bidirectional promoter between two related family members, and several pseudogenes have been identified. Mutations are associated with autosomal recessive spastic paraplegia 13. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported.
