Target Information
Glycerol-3-phosphate phosphatase hydrolyzes glycerol-3-phosphate into glycerol, regulating cellular levels of glycerol-3-phosphate, a key intermediate of glucose, lipid, and energy metabolism. It also exhibits 2-phosphoglycolate phosphatase and tyrosine-protein phosphatase activities, though their physiological relevance remains unclear. In vitro, it shows phosphatase activity toward ADP, ATP, GDP, and GTP.
