Annexin A5는 칼슘 의존적 인지질 결합 단백질인 annexin 패밀리에 속하며, 세포막 관련 분비 및 내포 과정에 관여합니다.
이 단백질은 phospholipase A2 및 protein kinase C 억제 기능을 가지며, 칼슘 채널 활성과 세포 신호전달, 염증, 성장 및 분화 과정에 역할을 합니다.
Annexin A5는 placental anticoagulant protein I, vascular anticoagulant-alpha, endonexin II, lipocortin V, placental protein 4, anchorin CII 등으로도 알려져 있습니다.
이 유전자는 약 29 kb 길이로 13개의 엑손을 포함하며, 약 1.6 kb 전사체와 약 35 kDa 단백질을 생성합니다.
