Target Information
LCLAT1 exhibits acyl-CoA:lysocardiolipin acyltransferase (ALCAT) activity, catalyzing the reacylation of lyso-cardiolipin to cardiolipin (CL), a key step in CL remodeling. Recognizes both monolysocardiolipin and dilysocardiolipin as substrates with preference for linoleoyl-CoA and oleoyl-CoA. Also shows 1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase (AGPAT) activity, converting lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) into phosphatidic acid (PA). Possesses lysophosphatidylinositol acyltransferase (LPIAT) and lysophosphatidylglycerol acyltransferase (LPGAT) activities. Required for hematopoietic and endothelial lineage establishment. [UniProt]
