This antibody recognizes a sialidase-sensitive extracellular epitope of CD45RB, a 180–240 kDa single chain type I membrane glycoprotein, variant of CD45 (CD45RB isoform).
CD45RB is expressed on subsets of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and dendritic cells.
Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase and a CD45 glycoprotein isoform.
CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling by regulating Src-family kinases.
It promotes cell survival via integrin-mediated signal transduction and participates in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
Expression patterns vary by cell type and physiological state.
CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells and is essential for immunoreceptor signaling and hematopoietic lineage cell function (except mature red cells).
