Target Information
MAGI3 (Membrane-associated guanylate kinase with inverted orientation) is a 130 kDa guanylate kinase belonging to a family of multi-PDZ domain-containing kinases. These kinases are localized to epithelial cell tight junctions. MAGI3 interacts with PTEN/MMAC to modulate AKT/PKB activity, positioning PTEN/MMAC at subcellular sites regulating cell proliferation and survival. The MAGI3 protein contains an N-terminal guanylate kinase domain, a WW domain (with conserved tryptophan residues), and five PDZ domains.
