Target Information
eIF3e는 진핵 번역 개시 인자 3(eIF-3) 복합체의 구성 요소로, 단백질 합성 개시 과정의 여러 단계에 필수적입니다. eIF-3 복합체는 40S 리보솜과 결합하여 eIF-1, eIF-1A, eIF-2:GTP:methionyl-tRNAi 및 eIF-5의 모집을 촉진하여 43S preinitiation complex(43S PIC)를 형성합니다. 또한 mRNA의 모집과 AUG 인식 스캐닝을 촉진하며, 번역 종료 후 리보솜 복합체의 분해 및 재활용에도 관여합니다.
이 단백질은 nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD)에 필요하며, UPF2와 상호작용하여 mRNA를 번역에서 NMD 경로로 전환시킬 수 있습니다. 또한 MCM7 및 EPAS1과 상호작용하여 이들의 프로테아좀 매개 분해를 조절할 수 있습니다.
