Product Specific Information
Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
The lyophilized product remains stable up to 1 year at -20 °C from date of receipt. Upon reconstitution, it can be stored for 2–3 weeks at 2–8 °C or for up to 12 months at -20 °C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
Target Information
Omalizumab (trade name Xolair) is an FDA-approved drug for the treatment of moderate to severe persistent asthma in adults and adolescents (12 years and older). It is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that selectively binds to human immunoglobulin E (IgE). Omalizumab inhibits the binding of IgE to the high-affinity IgE receptor (FcεRI) on the surface of mast cells and basophils.
