- Positive Control: HeLa, U87, or Ramos cells
- Cellular Location: Cytoplasm and nucleus. IRF3 shuttles between cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments. Interaction with CREBBP prevents its export to the cytoplasm, though export is the prevailing effect when activated.

IRF3 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 3)는 type I interferon (IFN)-의존적 면역 반응의 핵심 전사 조절 인자입니다.
DNA 및 RNA 바이러스에 대한 선천적 면역 반응에서 중요한 역할을 하며, IFN-alpha, IFN-beta 및 IFN-stimulated gene(ISG)의 전사를 조절합니다.
IRF3는 비감염 세포의 세포질에 비활성 상태로 존재하며, 바이러스 감염 또는 TLR 신호에 의해 활성화됩니다.
IKBKE 및 TBK1 kinase에 의해 인산화되어 이합체화 및 핵 이동이 유도되며, CREB 결합 단백질과 복합체를 형성하여 type I IFN 및 ISG 유전자의 전사를 활성화합니다.
IRF3 유전자의 돌연변이는 감염 유발성 급성 뇌병증(herpes-specific 7)과 관련이 있습니다.
