Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in cell systems such as HEK293. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The S100P protein is a member of the S100 family containing two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. These proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of various cell types and are involved in regulating cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation.
S100 genes are clustered on chromosome 1q21, but S100P is located on 4p16. This protein binds Ca²⁺, Zn²⁺, and Mg²⁺ and may play a role in the etiology of prostate cancer.
