Alpha-actinin-3 (ACTN3)는 인간의 골격근에서 주로 발현되는 단백질로, sarcomeric Z line의 구조적 구성 요소로 작용합니다. 이 단백질은 F-actin을 포함한 얇은 필라멘트를 교차 결합하며, ACTN3 유전자는 alpha-actin 결합 단백질 유전자 패밀리에 속합니다. 유전적 다형성으로 인해 coding 및 non-coding 변이가 존재하며, reference genome은 coding allele을 나타냅니다.
