Target Information
CROCC is a major structural component of the ciliary rootlet, a cytoskeletal-like structure in ciliated cells that originates from the basal body and extends toward the nucleus. It is required for correct positioning of the cilium basal body relative to the nucleus, enabling ciliogenesis (PubMed:27623382). CROCC also contributes to centrosome cohesion before mitosis (PubMed:16203858). [UniProt]
