FEN-1 (Flap Endonuclease and Five prime Exonuclease)는 42 kDa 크기의 단백질로, 단일가닥 5’ 플랩을 포함하는 분기 DNA 구조를 절단하는 엔도뉴클레아제이자 DNA 닉 및 간격에서 작용하는 엑소뉴클레아제입니다. FEN-1의 활성이 PCNA(증식세포핵항원)와의 결합에 의해 촉진되며, DNA 복제 및 수선 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 세포 자유 DNA 복제 시스템에서 필수적인 요소로 알려져 있습니다.
