Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only before immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum and purified Glutathione-S-Transferase (Schistosoma japonicum).
- Cross-reactivity with GST from other sources may occur but has not been determined.
Target Information
Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing diverse reactions. It is widely used in the GST gene fusion system, enabling purification of fusion proteins via affinity to glutathione. GST fusion proteins are important tools for studying protein–protein interactions and have been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
