Target Information
CD34는 111–115 kDa 범위의 분자량을 가지는 고도로 당화된 단량체 표면 단백질로, 다양한 줄기세포 집단에서 발현된다. 인간 조혈 줄기세포에서의 CD34 발현은 가역적이며, 세포 부착, 분화 및 증식을 조절하는 수용체 매개 내재화 과정에 관여할 수 있다.
CD34는 줄기세포가 골수 기질세포 또는 세포외기질에 부착하는 데 관여하는 부착 분자로 추정된다. 또한 특정 당사슬 부착을 위한 스캐폴드 역할을 하며, 선택틴(selectin)과의 결합을 매개할 수 있다.
CD34 항원의 세포내 사슬은 활성화된 단백질 키나아제 C에 의해 인산화되는 부위로, 신호전달 과정에서 역할을 할 수 있다.
CD34 기능 이상과 관련된 질환으로는 피부섬유육종(dermatofibrosarcoma) 및 신경섬유종(neurofibroma)이 보고되어 있다.
