Target Information
CADM1 mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion in a Ca²⁺-independent manner and heterophilic adhesion with CADM3 and PVRL3. It acts as a tumor suppressor in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. Interaction with CRTAM enhances NK cell cytotoxicity and IFN-γ secretion by CD8⁺ cells. CADM1 contributes to the less invasive phenotype of lepidic growth tumor cells and plays roles in mast cell communication, neuronal development, and spermatogenesis.
