Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The GSTT2 gene encodes glutathione S-transferase theta 2, a member of the GST superfamily that catalyzes the conjugation of reduced glutathione to various electrophilic and hydrophobic compounds.
Human GSTs are categorized into five classes: alpha, mu, pi, theta, and zeta. The theta class includes GSTT1, GSTT2, and GSTT2B.
GSTT2 and GSTT2B share high sequence similarity and about 55% amino acid identity with GSTT1. These genes may play a role in human carcinogenesis, and GSTT2B is a pseudogene in some populations.
