Target Information
Cortisol은 인간 부신에서 생성되는 가장 강력한 글루코코르티코이드입니다. 콜레스테롤로부터 합성되며, 뇌하수체의 부신피질자극호르몬(ACTH)에 의해 생성이 자극됩니다. ACTH는 시상하부의 코르티코트로핀 방출인자(CRF)에 의해 조절되며, 높은 Cortisol 농도는 음성 피드백을 통해 ACTH와 CRF 분비를 억제합니다.
혈장 내 대부분의 Cortisol은 corticosteroid binding globulin(CBG, transcotin)에 결합되어 있습니다. Cortisol은 세포 내 수용체를 통해 작용하며, 면역 기능, 포도당 대사, 혈관 긴장도, 골대사 등 다양한 생리적 시스템에 영향을 미칩니다.
