Target Information
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase(PLAP)는 특정 염증성 질환 과정의 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 효소에는 intestinal, placental, placental-like, liver/bone/kidney 등 네 가지 관련된 형태가 존재합니다.
PLAP는 임신 3기 동안 태반에서 발현되는 막 결합형 isoenzyme(Regan 및 Nagao type)과 반응합니다.
이는 고환 생식세포종의 식별에 유용하며, PLAP 양성 체세포 종양은 epithelial membrane antigen(EMA)을 발현합니다.
PLAP의 제안된 기능은 기질 광물화이며, 이 효소가 결핍된 생쥐에서도 정상적인 골격 발달이 관찰됩니다.
또한 PLAP는 고인산혈증증(hypophosphatasia)과 관련이 있으며, 이는 고칼슘혈증 및 골격 이상을 특징으로 합니다.
