Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The PCCB gene encodes the beta subunit of the propionyl-CoA carboxylase (PCC) enzyme, a mitochondrial enzyme involved in the catabolism of propionyl-CoA. PCC functions as a dodecamer composed of six alpha and six beta subunits. Mutations in this gene are associated with propionic acidemia type II (PA-2).
