Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Target Information

This gene encodes a receptor protein that interacts with various psychotomimetic drugs, including cocaine and amphetamines. The receptor is believed to play important roles in the cellular functions of tissues associated with the endocrine, immune, and nervous systems. Formerly known as opioid receptor sigma 1 (OPRS1), it was once thought to act as an opioid receptor but is now considered a non-opioid receptor. Alternative splicing results in transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
