Target Information
RBBP9 may play a role in cellular transformation by conferring resistance to TGF-beta1 growth inhibition through interaction with retinoblastoma and displacement of E2F-1.
This gene encodes a retinoblastoma binding protein involved in cell proliferation and differentiation regulation.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants with identical predicted protein products have been reported, one of which is a nonsense-mediated decay candidate.
