Target Information
Human IgG2, also known as human immunoglobulin G2, is a subclass of human IgG antibodies produced by the immune system in response to antigens. It is the second most abundant subclass of IgG in the blood and plays a key role in defense against pathogens.
IgG2 binds to specific antigens and promotes their clearance through mechanisms such as phagocytosis and complement activation. It is also involved in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and neutralization of toxins.
Human IgG2 can be used in research to study immune responses and to develop diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions for infectious and autoimmune diseases.
