Target Information
GOT2 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 2) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme localized in the mitochondrial inner membrane. It plays a crucial role in amino acid metabolism, and in the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. GOT1 and GOT2 are homodimeric enzymes with close homology.
