Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse MyBPC3 is observed.
- Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
Myosin binding protein C, cardiac-type (MYBPC3) is a thick filament-associated protein located in the crossbridge region of vertebrate striated muscle A bands.
In vitro, it binds MHC, F-actin, and native thin filaments, modifying the activity of actin-activated myosin ATPase.
It may modulate muscle contraction or play a structural role.
Mutations in the MYBPC3 gene can cause cardiomyopathy, including familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (type 4), dilated cardiomyopathy (type 1MM), and left ventricular non-compaction (type 10).
