• In direct ELISAs, approximately 40% cross-reactivity with recombinant human mGluR7 and mGluR8 is observed.
• Less than 8% cross-reactivity with recombinant human mGluR3 is observed.

Target Information

The Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor mGluR4 (GRM4) binds L-glutamate, the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. This receptor activates both ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors. Glutamatergic neurotransmission is involved in most aspects of normal brain function and can be perturbed in many neuropathologic conditions.
Metabotropic glutamate receptors are a family of G protein-coupled receptors, divided into three groups based on sequence homology, signal transduction mechanisms, and pharmacologic properties.
