Target Information
Endocrine gland-derived vascular endothelial growth factor (EG-VEGF, also known as PROK1) induces proliferation, migration, and fenestration in capillary endothelial cells derived from endocrine glands. Its expression is induced by hypoxia and restricted to steroidogenic glands. Expression is often complementary to VEGF, suggesting coordinated function.
