Target Information
Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascades include MAPK (ERK), MAPK kinase (MEK), and MAPK kinase kinase (MEKK).
MEKK1 phosphorylates and activates MAPKK (MEK1/MEK2), leading to MAPK activation.
It is also a potent activator of the JNK cascade.
The protein contains one RING-type zinc finger and one SWIM-type zinc finger domain.
