Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

Vacuolar-type H⁺-ATPase (V-ATPase) is a multisubunit enzyme responsible for acidification of eukaryotic intracellular organelles.
V-ATPases pump protons against an electrochemical gradient, while F-ATPases perform the reverse process to synthesize ATP.

V-ATPase consists of:

  • V1 domain (responsible for ATP hydrolysis; subunits A–H)
  • V0 domain (responsible for proton translocation; subunits a, d, c, c′, c″)

The enzyme operates via a rotary mechanism similar to F-ATPase.
The V1 B subunit exists as two isoforms:

  • B1 isoform: functions in proton secretion in the inner ear, maintaining endolymph pH and auditory function.
    Mutations cause distal renal tubular acidosis with sensorineural deafness.
  • B2 isoform: expressed in kidney and osteoclasts.
