Target Information
CSK is a tyrosine kinase that downregulates the activity of SRC oncoprotein through phosphorylation of its carboxy terminus. The CSK gene may function as an antioncogene, playing an important role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, migration, and immune responses.
CSK phosphorylates tyrosine residues in the C-terminal tails of Src-family kinases including LCK, SRC, HCK, FYN, LYN, CSK, and YES1. It is expressed ubiquitously as a ~50 kDa cytosolic protein, with a fraction localized to lipid rafts via interaction with PAG (Csk-binding protein).
