Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the vacuolar protein sorting 10 (VPS10) domain-containing receptor family. The VPS10 domain name originates from the yeast carboxypeptidase Y sorting receptor Vps10 protein. Members of this gene family are large, containing many exons, though CDS lengths are typically under 3700 nt. Large introns separate exons encoding the VPS10 domain, while smaller introns separate the remaining exons. These genes are strongly expressed in the central nervous system.
