Target Information
Omalizumab (trade name Xolair) is an FDA-approved recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody for the treatment of moderate to severe persistent asthma in adults and adolescents (≥12 years). It selectively binds to human immunoglobulin E (IgE), inhibiting its interaction with the high-affinity IgE receptor (FcεRI) on mast cells and basophils.
