Target Information
Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1 beta)는 단핵구, 대식세포, 수지상세포 등에 의해 발현되는 염증성 사이토카인입니다. 염증 자극에 반응하여 31 kDa의 비활성 전구체 형태로 합성되며, inflammasome 활성화에 의해 17 kDa의 활성형으로 절단됩니다. 활성화된 caspase-1은 pro-IL-1 beta를 절단하여 활성형을 생성합니다. IL-1 beta는 고전적 ER/Golgi 경로를 거치지 않고, caspase-1과 함께 비전형적 분비 경로를 통해 분비됩니다. IL-1RI 및 IL-1RII 수용체를 통해 신호를 전달하며, IL-1RA는 경쟁적 억제를 통해 IL-1 beta 활성을 조절합니다. IL-1 beta는 선천 면역 방어에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 다양한 만성 염증 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
