Product Specific Information
PA1-739 detects secretory carrier membrane protein 1 (SCAMP1) from human, mouse, and rat samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and immunoprecipitation procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an approximately 31 kDa protein representing SCAMP1 in rat and mouse brain tissues as well as HeLa cell lysates.
PA1-739 immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 1–17 from human SCAMP1, which are completely conserved between human, rat, and porcine SCAMP1.
The immunizing peptide (Cat. # PEP-105) is available for neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
Secretory carrier membrane proteins (SCAMPs) are components of post-Golgi membranes involved in membrane trafficking.
In fibroblasts, SCAMPs are concentrated in compartments associated with recycling of cell surface receptors and endocytosis.
In neurons, SCAMPs are found in synaptic vesicles, secretion granules, and transporter vesicles.
Among the three known SCAMPs, SCAMP1 is the most abundant and is required for stable exocytosis in mast cells.
