Antibody detects endogenous levels of LIN28A only when phosphorylated at Ser200.
Target Information
Lin28 is a transcription factor first identified for its role in developmental timing in C. elegans. It plays a key role in stem cell biology and reprogramming. Expression of Lin28 with transcription factors such as POU5F1, Sox2, and NANOG can induce pluripotent stem (iPS) cells from mouse fibroblasts. Further studies have shown that iPS cells can also be generated using plasmids expressing Lin28, Sox2, POU5F1, and c-Myc, avoiding viral introduction and improving safety for regenerative medicine applications.
