This antibody detects endogenous levels of total LLGL2 protein.
Target Information
LLGL1 is a protein similar to a tumor suppressor in Drosophila. It is part of the cytoskeletal network and associates with nonmuscle myosin II heavy chain and a kinase that phosphorylates it at serine residues. The LLGL1 gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17.
LLGL2 is homologous to the Drosophila lethal (2) giant larvae protein. In flies, its localization of cell fate determinants is regulated by atypical protein kinase C (aPKC). In humans, LLGL2 interacts with aPKC-containing complexes and localizes cortically in mitotic cells.
