Target Information
APBA2는 X11 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 phosphotyrosine-binding domain 단백질로, amyloid precursor protein (APP)과 상호작용하는 신경계 어댑터 단백질입니다. Alzheimer’s disease 환자의 뇌에서 neuritic plaque와 관련되어 있으며, APP를 안정화하고 Abeta peptide 생성을 억제합니다. 또한 신호 전달 과정과 시냅스 소포의 exocytosis를 신경세포 접착과 연결하는 복합체 형성에 관여할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 최근 보고에 따르면 자폐증 관련 후보 유전자로도 제시되고 있습니다.
