Target Information
NTRK3 (TRKC) belongs to the neurotrophic factor family central to the development and maintenance of the mammalian nervous system. Known substrates for TRK receptors include SHC, PI-3 kinase, and PLCG1. Isoforms differ in signaling properties. The protein is widely expressed, mainly in nervous tissue. Isoform B is expressed more abundantly in the adult brain than in the fetal brain. TRKC undergoes ligand-mediated auto-phosphorylation and contains two immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and two leucine-rich repeats (LRR).
