Target Information
Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF), also known as CCN2, is a secreted protein belonging to the CCN family. It is produced by umbilical veins and vascular endothelial cells and contains an Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF)-binding domain, a thrombospondin type 1 domain, and a cysteine knot region. CTGF plays key roles in chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation, induces angiogenesis, and promotes cell adhesion in fibroblasts, endothelial, and epithelial cells.
