Target Information
This antibody targets the RNA helicase aquarius protein, which is involved in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the spliceosome. It plays a key role in linking pre-mRNA splicing and snoRNP biogenesis, assisting in the folding of snoRNA sequences. Aquarius binds introns of pre-mRNAs in a sequence-independent manner and exhibits ATP-dependent RNA helicase activity capable of unwinding double-stranded RNA molecules with a 3′ overhang.
